SUMMARY:Exploring Trauma Informed Palliative Care for Populations Experiencing Structural Vulnerability
DESCRIPTION:Part two in Pallium Canada’s Trauma Informed Palliative Care series. \nPalliative care is not accessed by everyone equally in Canada. In fact\, income\, housing\, and race\, for example\, play a big role in who ultimately receives palliative care. This moderated panel webinar aims to explore the impact of structural vulnerabilities as it pertains to socioeconomic\, political\, and cultural hierarchies\, on access to care and the consequences of trauma in our communities. Panelists will explore their personal experiences in a variety of disciplines to detail how certain social determinants of health serve as barriers to care and how trauma informed care can be envisioned to derive health equity for populations experiencing vulnerability. \nClick here for more information and to register.  \n  \nHost and Moderator: Naheed Dosani MSC\, MD\, CCFP(PC)\, BSc \n  \nPanelists: Sasha Hill RN; Rami Shami BSc; Kelli I. Stajduhar RN\, PhD\, FCAHS; and Anna Voeuk MD\, CCFP(PC)\, MPH\, DTM&H \n  \nThe topic for this webinar has been developed in collaboration with the Canadian Society of Palliative Care Physicians (CSPCP).
